SHILLONG: The BJP has condemned the recent atrocities in Madhya Pradesh, where a group of carol singers, including two Catholic priests were detained for several hours in Satna after members of a right-wing group accused them of forcing religious conversions.
The activists allegedly set a car used by the carolers on fire while they were in the police station. State BJP president, Shibun Lyngdoh said that the party had a meeting on Tuesday and the meeting condemned the event in Satna.
“We don’t believe in attacking any group and we want MP Government to take action against the culprits and book them as per the law,” Shibun said.
