SHILLONG: Two youths who were on their way to attend a church convention were killed in an accident, a delayed report said.
They were to attend the Diocesan Youth Convention from January 4 to 8 hosted by Don Bosco Church, Mendal.
A statement said that the youths from Siju Parish met with the accident in Jadi, near Nongalbibra.
While one person was killed on the spot on Thursday, another died on the way to hospital in Shillong. .
As many as 1151 youth belonging to 40 different parishes participated.
Archbishop Dominic Jala inaugurated the convention and released the Annual Magazine 2018 and Jisuni Atchiani Rama.
