Mawphlang doctor joins PDF

SHILLONG: After bureaucrats and engineers, it is time for a doctor to join the electoral race.
The People’s Democratic Front (PDF) welcomed Donkupar Lyngdoh, a doctor at Mawphlang PHC, into its fold at a function on Saturday.
Lyngdoh has entered politics “to serve the people of the constituency”.
The programme was attended by PDF president Ivanlumlang Marbaniang, general secretary Auspicious Lyngdoh, PDF chairman Pynshngain N Syiem and office bearers of PDF Zonal Committee Mawphlang. “There are many difficulties that the public go through, one of which being releasing of the schemes only before the elections,” he said.
Meanwhile, Syiem said the party needs people who have strong foundation and this would help in developing the society.
