SHILLONG: Tura MP Conrad Sangma’s statement denying nexus between BJP and the National People’s Party (NPP) was “misleading”, said John Kharshiing in a statement issued on Sunday.
Kharshiing said NPP has four legislators in Manipur who are also ministers and in coalition with the BJP-led government in Manipur.
Further, he said that NPP and the United Democratic Party (UDP) are also constituents of the North East Democratic Alliance and “one can see there association from pictures posted on the official website of BJP”.
“Internet technology exposes NPP, UDP, HSPDP, PDF and their NEDA alliance with BJP. The people have a clear choice and that is to either vote for BJP and its allies or to vote for the Indian National Congress, which is clear in its ideology and is the only party that will continue to oppose BJP and its secret agenda for Meghalaya,” said Kharshiing.
