SHILLONG: Mobile service provider Aircel observed Pre-Christmas celebration program “The Joy of Christmas” in aid of Old age at Ministry of Charity, Shantibhavan, Bomfile Road, here on Monday.
The celebration was lead by Circle Operations Head – Aircel Mr. Kathirvelu P and few other officials from Aircel along with the Sisters from the Ministry. The celebration was lightened up by Christmas songs and followed by distribution of Christmas gifts to the occupants of the Charity.Meanwhile, a ‘Wish Tree’ has been put up at the MUDA Shopping Complex in Police Bazaar by Vodafone India to fulfill the wishes of the children of the Anand Bhavan Missionaries of Charity this year by contributing a sum of money based on the pool of messages found around the tree.
Well-wishers and Citizens can walk into MUDA and write messages for the kids and put it up on the tree or write them on the graffiti board next to the tree. This wishing tree hopes to fill these underprivileged children’s life with joy, love and prosperity.
