The District Election Officer, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has restricted the number of vehicles and people accompanying the candidate at the time of Nomination to ensure that strict adherence within the periphery of 100 meters of the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises.
Call centre
The District Election Officer, East Jaintia Hills, Khliehriat has informed that a 24×7 call centre has been established at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Khliehriat, Room No. 30 for the public to inform the election monitoring machinery regarding corrupt practices related to the elections. Complaints and queries can be made to the call centre at 03652-230783, 230788.
Volunteers required
The District Home Guards Commandant, East Khasi Hills requires trained Civil Defence and Home Guard volunteers for duty in the upcoming Assembly Elections. Interested volunteers may report to the office of the District Home Guards Commandant, at Mawdiangdang, Shillong or contact 0364-2910353 or 8014737426 at the earliest.
Eucharistic procession
