9 more ACS/APS officers face hand writing test in cash for job scam

GUWAHATI: In continuation of probe into the ‘cash-for-job’ scam in Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), nine more Assam Civil Service (ACS) and Assam Police Service (APS) officers were summoned by Assam Police to the Special Branch headquarter in Kahilipara on Wednesday to make them undergo handwriting tests.

The nine serving officers who were called include Rituraj Gogoi, Abhisikha Barua, Barnali Devi, Jaideep Mahanta, Khanjan Phukan, Abhisek Barbara, Kausik Kalta, Debabrata Dey and Satyajit Sarkar.

They were asked to sit for a writing test by answering a set of questions set by a panel of experts. Their answer scripts will be sent to four different forensic laboratories along with their APSC examination answer scripts for verification.

Earlier, twenty-five ACS and APS officers were arrested   and sent to jail after they had failed I similar handwriting tests.
