One killed, several injured in
separate accidents
A Maruti van (ML-018D-0772) driven by Tinen Ch Marak dashed against one tree at Rongjeng Reserve, NH-62, East Garo Hills on February 10. As a result, three occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to CHC Rongjeng for treatment where one of the injured victims Jostin Marak succumbed to his injuries
On February 11, a Maruti vehicle (ML-08C-9431) driven by Ratan Hajong skidded off the road and dashed against a tree at Mendudam village under Bajengdoba PS in North Garo Hills. As a result, seven occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to PHC Bajengdoba.
On February 10 around 5.30 am, one truck (ML-04A-0379) dashed against a Maruti car (WB-02U-6266) in Sumer, Ri Bhoi. As a result, two female occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Shillong.
Fire engulfs house in EGH
On February 10 around 6 pm, a fire broke out in the house of Desang M Sangma at Upper Rongjeng in East Garo Hills. As a result, the house was completely gutted.
Man assaulted
Biangka Susngi lodged a complaint that on January 31, Nikil Pyrtuh assaulted her husband namely Elansius Thubru. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Jowai.
Vandalism
Chawas Nongtdu lodged a complaint that on February 10 around 2 am, miscreants went to his residence at Sutnga, East Jaintia Hills, and pelted stones at his two vehicles parked on the premises, causing partial damaged to the vehicles.

Ivy Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on February 9 around 4 pm, miscreants broke into her house at Mission Compound, Mawkhar and stole gold ornaments and Rs. 70,000 cash.
Tengbasal R Marak lodged a complaint that on January 25, miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-08C-5869) from Chitoktak Gandrak Road, Tura in West Garo Hills.
