TURA: Meghalaya Education Minister Deborah Marak has condemned the murder of her political opponent Jonathone Sangma who was killed along with three others in an IED blast triggered by suspected GNLA militants at a remote village in Samanda under Williamnagar constituency on Sunday night.
Deborah had defeated Jonathone Sangma in the 2013 elections from the same constituency.
“This has been a cold blooded murder and I strongly condemn this heinous crime. I am demanding a CBI enquiry because only then will the truth come out,” said Deborah Marak while speaking to The Shillong Times in Williamnagar.
Meanwhile, Deborah Marak through her election agent has filed a police complaint against a group of social media users who have been flooding the web with rumours and false allegations that blame the Congress for the death of the NCP candidate.
