SHILLONG: A complaint has been lodged against a headman for allegedly assaulting and obstructing one person from attending a meeting organised by NPP at Iawpyrsin Rymbai in East Jaintia Hills.
Saian Thoo lodged a complaint that on February 22 around 8.30 pm, Sunshine Lyngdoh, Headman of Rymbai village along with Phait Lyngdoh, Running Lyngdoh and others, assaulted and obstructed him from attending NPP meeting. As a result, the victim sustained injuries. A counter FIR was lodged by Sunshine against Saian saying that Thoo assaulted and threatened him with dire consequences at his residence.
