New Delhi:  Delhi’s ruling Aam Aadmi Party on Monday expressed support for the protests by Dalit activists from various organisations against a Supreme Court ruling on the SC/ST Act.
“AAP supports the SC/ST community in the situation, arising after the Supreme Court’s order on the SC/ST Atrocity Prevention Act. The central government should appoint the prestigious senior lawyers in petition against the court ruling and the act should be preserved,” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.
AAP senior leader Ashutosh demanded an ordinance to “fix” the apex court’s decision.
“Modi Ji should soon bring an ordinance to fix the Supreme Court’s decision that weakens the SC/ST act. You cannot stay silent about the injustice against Dalits,” he said.(IANS)
