One beaten to death
Lebithson Sangma of Songsak in East Garo Hills lodged a complaint that on March 30 around 6 pm, his son Elear A Sangma was beaten to death by one Lazarush Ch Marak, in the house of one Ilam Shira. It is alleged that during the incident the accused was accompanied by Ilam Shira, Notubat Marak, Ismail Shira, Atuha Sangma and Dikchi Marak.
Hospital staff harassed
Dr. Dipali D Sangma and four others from Civil Hospital, Williamnagar lodged a complaint that on March 27between 5.30 pm and 6 pm, some unidentified boys entered the emergency room of the hospital in a drunken state, used abusive language and ordered the hospital staff to do the dressing and administer TT injection claiming that they had met with an accident. Later, they fled from the hospital leaving behind one motorcycle (ML-07B-6283).
