Man tries to sell clouded leopard meat on FB

Tura: Animal rights activists in the state went up in arms after a man killed an endangered clouded leopard and tried to sell the meat on social media.
Dodohm Chambukong posted a photograph on Facebook page Olx Tura where he posted a photo of an endangered clouded leopard that was killed and sought Rs 2000 for the cat.
The user later deleted his account though screenshots of the same were kept by activists who sent the same to the Wildlife and Forest departments.
West Garo Hills police have been informed about the post and they promised to act on the matter and ensured that the perpetrators would be taken to task.
The clouded leopard is listed as vulnerable.
Earlier too there were posts of some users who had uploaded photos of their kill and when questioned had feigned ignorance.
