CRPF officers feted for peaceful conduct of Assembly polls

SHILLONG: An award ceremony was held where as many as 25 CRPF personnel were awarded with certificates of appreciation.
The CRPF was nominated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi as the Nodal Agency for the deployment of security forces in Meghalaya and for peaceful conduct of the Assembly elections. IGP, CRPF, NES Prakash D, was nominated as the Chief Force Coordinator during the stationing.
More than 100 paramilitary companies were inducted from various parts of the country.
DG CRPF R. R. Bhatnagar has awarded Commendation Disc to five Officers, Prakash D., IGP, NES Hqr, Sham Chand, DIGP, NES HQr, J. P. K. Ray, DIGP, Range Guwahati, Sujit Kr. Jha, Assistant Commandant, NES Hqr, Inspector/GD- Kuljit Talukdar, NES Hqr.
Meanwhile, 10 officers were awarded with the prestigious Commendation Certificate by DG CRPF, New Delhi. The awardees are H. S. Ghuman, Commandant 67 Bn, CRPF, Surjit Kr. Atri, Commandant 128 Bn, CRPF, Swarn Singh, Commandant, NES Hqr, B. C. Dalbehra, Commandant 120 Bn, CRPF, Rajneesh Kumar, Assistant Commandant, B/1st Signal Bn, Anisha K. Vijayan, Assistant Commandant 67 Bn, CRPF and others.
Besides, IG (Ops) CRPF Directorate, New Delhi has issued Appreciation Letters to ten Officers of 67 Bn and 120 Bn for their outstanding role. The names of the officers are Ravinder Singh, 2 I/C, 67 Bn, CRPF, Tejender Pal Singh, Deputy Commandant, 67 Bn, CRPF, M. R. Ansari, Assistant Commandant 120 Bn, CRPF and others.
