AICC secy slams Tripura govt

AGARTALA: AICC secretary K. Jaykumar on Monday attacked the CPM-led Left Front government saying “Tripura is still lagging behind in terms of human resource development”.

Left-ruled Tripura’s position is seventh among eight N-E states in the field of human resource development even after allocation for huge amount against different welfare schemes, he said.

Flanked by PCC chief Surajit Dutta and former Chief Minister SR Barman, the AICC secretary also pointed out the escalation in the BPL population during the Left Front regime.
