Two killed in separate accidents

SHILLONG: There is no end to fatal road accidents in the state and people continue to lose their lives in such tragic mishaps.
On Saturday morning, around 6.35 am, a taxi (ML-05J-9685) driven by Pynwanborlang Khongwir (21) dashed against a tree at 6th Mile, Upper Shillong.
As a result, the driver and three occupants sustained injuries. Later, the driver succumbed to his injuries at Civil Hospital, Shillong while the injured occupants were admitted to Civil Hospital and Nazareth Hospital respectively.
In another incident on Friday, a school headmistress was killed in a road accident in Soomer, West Jaintia Hills. The headmistress was killed when a twelve-wheeler truck dashed against the taxi in which she was travelling.
Meanwhile, on the same day, around 9.45 pm, a SPTS bus (ML-01-7341) driven by Justwell Iawphniaw (27) dashed against one stationary truck (NL-01AB-4277) at Lumdiengjri, Shillong. As a result,the handyman of the truck Arkusop Lyngkhoi (30) sustained minor injuries.
