ITANAGAR: Taking serious concern over the ongoing indefinite agitation spearheaded by Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) over the construction 2000-MW Lower Subansiri Hydro-electric Project (LSHP), Arunachal Pradesh MP Takam Sanjoy alleged that considering principles and ideology of the KMSS it was felt that the organisation has a close link with CPI-Maoist and ULFA.
While addressing a gathering at Kimin, about 70 km from here on Monday, Sanjoy further alleged that Maoist are trying their level best to spread their tentacles and settle in the jungle of Arunachal Pradesh with the help of KMSS.
KMMS has mooted a plan to prevent the construction of huge dams in Arunachal in connivance with various organizations even with ULFA and spreading the ideology of Maoist to make it’s plan a grand success, the MP felt.
Two districts of the state has been facing underground activities since long. He clearly warned the KMSS agitators not to interfere in the LSHP by giving economic blockade as it is hampering the developmental process of the state in Power sector.
Sanjoy, who elected from Arunachal West Parliamentary constituency, informed that he will discuss the matter with the Centre and will ask to ban the KMSS as the organisation is a great threat to the national security and as-well-as the security of Arunachal Pradesh concern. (UNI)
