Two army personnel killed in mishap

Guwahati:  Two soldiers were killed and one went missing when one of the vehicles of an Army column skidded off the road and fell into a stream at Chappakhowa along Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border in the wee hours of April 22, a Defence source informed.

The Army team was conducting search operations in Kundil Reserve Forest of Assam – Arunachal Pradesh border and the mishap occurred during relocation of the Army columns.

While two soldiers lost their lives in the incident, one individual went still missing and four others received minor injuries. The injured have been provided medical assistance and search for the missing soldier was continuing.
