DC notifies on release of pension

TURA: West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh has informed all concerned pensioners that under National Social Assistance Programme, pension for three months with effect from January to March 2018 for Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension, Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension and Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension, have been released to the BDOs and other implementing agencies.

The DC also informed that rates of pension with effect from December 2017 has been enhanced from Rs 300/- to Rs 500/- for Indira Gandhi National Widow and Disability Pensioners and for Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pensioners from Rs 250/- to Rs 500/- for those in the age group from 60-79 years and from Rs 500/- to Rs 550/- for those belonging to the age group from 80 and above.

Arrear for the month of December 2017 has also been released and the DC has asked concerned pensioners to contact the concerned BDOs and implementing agencies like CEO, TMB and the Bethany Society Tura.
