Counselling for ex-militants held at Goeragre

 TURA: A one-day counseling programme for surrenderees of militant outfits was organized on Friday by 2nd MLP Battalion Commandant, Dalton P Marak jointly with West Garo Hills SP, Dr M G R Kumar at the former’s battalion headquarters at Goeragre near Tura.

During the programme, Pastor Kalseng K Marak along with the Peace Committee members and Church Leaders of North Garo Hills delivered the important messages about restoring & retaining permanent Peace in the region.

The programme included teachings on topics under the theme “How to overcome Life’s challenges”.

Other important lesson on life’s issues; such as endangered environment were also highlighted by Battalion Commandant, Dalton P Marak.

Later, Marak along with the district SP led the gathering in a tree plantation at the same venue.
