SHILLONG: The two MDCs, James Sylliang and Grace Mary Kharpuri, who have been suspended from the People’s Democratic Party (PDF) for one year, will decide their future course of action after meeting their supporters and leaders.
When contacted, Mawhati MDC Sylliang said, “We spoke about the matters of the council; we did not say anything that was against the party. It is a one-man show.”
He added that there was a request to convene a party meeting, which was not done.
Sylliang will meet his supporters on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Kharpuri will meet her supporters and zonal committee leaders in Pynursla before making any move.
Both the MDCs were suspended after they claimed that Rs 28 crore was misappropriated by the chief executive member of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council CEM, PN Syiem, who is also the PDF chairman.
