Khasi film ‘Iewduh’ completes shooting

SHILLONG: A Khasi film, Iewduh, that is sets to explore the complicated nature of human relationships, directed by the maker of Onaatah-of the earth, Pradip Kurbah has completed its shooting and is currently in for post-production.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, Kurbah said the film seeks to portray about “everyday people who may be a hero to someone or the other.”

“We talk about different kind of human relationship in the market and Iewduh is a character in itself,” he added.

Line producer, Tyrel R Lyngdoh said to the film aims to capture the life and essence in it. “Iewduh is a space. There is so much life in it.”

However, Kurbah steered clear of portraying the negative side of Iewduh which is known as the traditional market thronged by folks from across the state.

The protagonist in the movie, Albert Mawrie who said he was “good enough” until he met Lapdiang Syiem who was the actor’s mentor.

According to Mawrie, Syiem was helpful in moulding the characters in the movie and said, “You will see the change in it.”
