Mukul’s daughter Miani a crorepati with three coal quarry leases

SHILLONG: The daughter of former Chief Minister, Miani D Shira, who is contesting the upcoming Ampati by-poll is also a crorepati and is the owner of two hillocks which contain coal for extraction.

The affidavit filed by Miani says two hill quarries were originally taken by her mother DD  Shira and subsequently these quarries were handed over to her but since the quarrying of coal is banned, these are lying vacant.

In addition, three leases in respect of three different coal quarries taken by her mother in 2008  has been handed over to her for use and operate but since coal mining is banned, these land under leases are lying vacant.

The affidavit also says that it is difficult to ascertain the present market value of the land since coal extraction is prohibited

Meanwhile, the gross total value of Shira’s immoveable asset is Rs 8993289  and it includes the value o five vehicles which she owns.

She also owns two agricultural land and the approximate current market value of two land is more than Rs 32 lakhs  and  she also owns three non agricultural land

Dikkanchi Shira, who is also an MLA from Mahendraganj also owns 26  agricultural land which was revealed in the affidavit which she had filed in the 2018 Assembly polls  and the approximate current market value of those lands is Rs  7,0,00,000
She also owned 10 non agricultural land including few coal mines  and the approximate current market value of those lands is Rs 20000000

She also owns four commercial buildings including apartments and house and the  approximate current market value of the her property is Rs  52600000

On the other hand, former Chief Minister Mukul Sangma who is Miani D Shira’s father owns 6 agriculture land and the  approximate current market value of the property is Rs 2500000

He also owns two non agricultural land and the  approximate current market value of the property is Rs 1600000 and he owns two residential buildings as well and the  approximate current market value of the property is Rs 1.14  crore.
