SHILLONG : The Sordar of Umpdem village in West Khasi Hills has condemned the statement of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC), Mairang circle and Umpdem unit, who have alleged the staff of Sub-center, Umpdem are irregular in attending duty.
In a statement issued here, the Sordar, Nikolas Kharkongor claimed that the staff at the sub-center was regular, hard working and dedicated to their duty.
He maintained that the staffs have to look after 10 other remote villages such as Sohmylleng, Umdiengkhied, Nongkhla, Mawkhap which falls under Umpdem circle.
It may be mentioned that HYC alleged the staff at the sub center were irregular and people often go to nearby villages for medicines
