Senior NCC officer in NE visits Mizoram

SHILLONG: Maj Gen Raju Chauhan, additional Director General, NCC, NE Region of Meghalaya visited Aizwal from May 30 to June 2.
Chauhan along with the Minister of Sports and Youth Services chaired a state advisory committee meeting and reviewed the NCC activities in the state.
Various issues like the installation of a flying simulator and the setting up of an NCC academy were also discussed. Chauhan also interacted with Mizoram Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla and apprised him of the issues pertaining to the NCC and its expansion in the state.
The chief minister also gifted two light vehicles to the NCC for training. Chauhan was accompanied by Brigadier SK Dey and other commanding officers of NCC Battalions in Mizoram.
