SHILLONG: The High Level Committee (HLC) on relocation of residents of Punjabi Lane (Iew Mawlong), is waiting for the report of the exhaustive land survey of the colony.
Urban Affairs Minister Hamlet Dohling, who is a member of the committee, said HLC had given 10 days to the Directorate of Land Records and Survey to conduct the survey. “Once we get the report, we will sit again for further action in the matter,” the minister added.
The fresh land survey of the area was required to have clarity since one portion of the land belongs to the Shillong Municipal Board and another to the Hima Mylliem.
