SHILLONG: Four organizations, the KSU, FKJGP, HNYF and RBYF asserted the interference of Sikh communities from outside the state with regard to the Sweepers’ Lane (Them Iew Metor) is adding fuel to fire.
The organisations maintained it is the internal matter of the state government and it was upto the state government to resolve the matter which has been hanging fire for a very long time.
According to the organisation, the interference of outsiders is unacceptable and alleged that the outsiders might create communal tensions in the state.
In a statement issued here, the KSU president, Lambok Marngar said, “The state government has constituted the High Level Committee to resolve the matter but it seems they don’t honour what the state government is doing.”
He added the state government should not allow people from outside to decide the internal matters of the state.
“The state government should not listen to them but if it does, it means there is some surreptitious talks going on,” Marngar said.
He added the communities from outside the state should not take advantage of the silence of the indigenous communities.
