Toddler drowns in Jaintia Hills

JOWAI: A 19-month-old male child identified as Moral Kyndait reportedly drowned in a well situated near his mother’s residence at Chamcham village in East Jaintia Hills on Thursday.
Sources informed the child’s mother Sbun Kyndait along with her relatives immediately rushed the child to Ialong District Civil Hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Sources from the village informed that the child was playing outside when he went to the well along with a mug and drowned.
