SHILLONG: MM Danggo, who resigned from the Congress party after he quit as MLA on Thursday, will miss all in the Congress party.
The resignation letter written by Danggo to the president and working president of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) says, “Thank you all and I will miss you all.”
Danggo said in the letter that he resigned from Ranikor seat as per the desire of his people.
The resignation letter, however, does not mention anything as to why he left the Congress party.
The former MLA said in the letter that the dues and fees, which he owes to the party has been cleared till June and if there are any more dues, he will clear those as well.
The emotional letter by Danggo also thanked the MPCC rank and file and the District Congress Committee of the South West Khasi Hills and the AICC for showering blessings on him abundantly during his term with the Indian National Congress.
“I will definitely cherish all the fond memories, the love and the family spirit during my long association with the INC. Forgive me for hurting you all by my sudden decision,” the resignation letter added.
Earlier, the Deputy Speaker, T.D Shira had received the letter of Danggo’s resignation from the Assembly on Thursday evening.
