Broken tree branch forces vehicular traffic to a halt in Shillong city

SHILLONG:  The otherwise busy GS Road in the city was closed for four hours on Saturday afternoon to cut down a branch of a tree which was hanging dangerously over the road

The traffic was diverted in the area for four hours from  1.15 PM to  5.15 PM and the traffic for Police Bazar was diverted through  Keating road while the traffic from Bara Bazar was diverted through Butcher road.

Earlier somebody reported to the police about the tree branch which was hanging dangerously after which Forest department personnel reached the spot and cut down the tree.
