SHILLONG: A woman in the city reportedly succumbed to her injuries following assault on her.
Ngurthankimi Sailo lodged a complaint that on June 27 around 6 pm, she learnt that J. Ngurdawla had assaulted his wife Ngurmunmawii, the sister of the complainant, at their residence at Madanrting Block-D.
As per the Meghalaya police website, the victim sustained injuries and lost consciousness.
The victim was later shifted to Shillong civil hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
