SHILLONG: The Synjuk ki Nongsynshar Shnong ka Bri U Hynniewtrep (SNSBH) extends their support to the High Level Committee (HLC) in identifying genuine legal residents of Sweepers’ Lane (Them Iew Metor)

Speaking to reporters after meeting chairman of HLC, general secretary of SNSBH, R.L. Blah said the Synjuk also stand by its demand for relocation of the residents of Sweepers Lane.

He also strongly opposed and condemned the various delegation from other parts of the country who keep coming to the state and asserted it was a state subject.

“The National Human Rights Commission visited the state. What did they find in the ground reality? They found that none of the settlers in Sweepers Lane were assaulted,” he said.
