Health minister inspects Mawkyrwat hospital

Mawkyrwat: Minister of Health & Family Welfare, A.L Hek inspected the Community Health Centre (CHC) Mawkyrwat as well as the much awaited 100-bed hospital which has been pending since 2002 on Friday.
 During the CHC inspection, the health minister visited most of the wards and also interacted with the patients.
The minister expressed concern over the congestion of the health centre which is the result of the pending hospital at Mawkyrwat.
Hek also visited the 100 -bed Hospital at Mawkyrwat in which the DM&HO, Dr. M. Marbaniang informed that 80 percent of the work has been completed.
After the inspection, Hek directed the district administration to prepare a detailed report on the requirements of the hospital in order to facilitate speedy completion of the project so that the problem of congestion faced by the CHC can be solved.
Local MLA, Renikton L. Tongkhar, Deputy Commissioner of South West Khasi Hills, Isawanda Laloo and other officials accompanied Hek.
