SHILLONG: Jio has clarified that the disruption of service happened recently in Laban area in the city during the integration of new site I-NE-SLLG-ENB-A011.
“The problem in Laban area on June 30 was due to some configuration related issue,” a top Jio functionary said.
The site was immediately shutdown on detection of the issue and the issue cropping up in the serving areas of the site got resolved, the functionary, said, adding that configuration of the site has since been corrected and the site was made operational.
“We are aggressively rolling out our network and are getting close to coverage of 90 % of the population,” Jio added.
