Rapsang case: Main accused identified, accomplice held

SHILLONG: Police have obtained custody of the main accused in the Rishan Rapsang looting and assault case and have identified him as Vijay Sahani.
SP (City) Steven Rynjah said on Thursday that Sahani had hit Rishan Rapsang and fled with the bag containing around Rs 9 lakh in cash on June 25.
Meanwhile, an accomplice identified as Kunal Sunar was arrested on Thursday.
“We are searching for one or two more suspects,” Rynjah said, adding that police are questioning other suspects but they have not been detained.
