Abducted J&K policeman killed by militants

Srinagar, July 6 (IANS) The body of a Jammu and Kashmir policeman abducted by militants was found on Friday in Kulgam district, police said.

Javaid Ahmad Dar was abducted on Thursday evening from his home in Shopian district’s Vehil village. His body was found in Kulgam’s Pariwan village, the police said.

Meanwhile, militants opened fire at Muhammad Ashraf, a cleric, in Pulwama district on Friday. His condition is said to be critical.
