SHILLONG: NPP will send letters to all the political parties on Monday seeking support to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, who is contesting from South Tura seat.
Agatha Sangma vacated her seat to pave way for her brother to get elected so that he can continue to become the chief minister.
NPP state president WR Kharlukhi said on Sunday that he would send letters to all the political parties on Monday seeking their support. He hoped that all the parties will support Conrad.
The chief minister is expected to be back from Delhi either on July 17 or 18 and he will also make a formal appeal to all the political parties to support him, NPP sources said.
To a question, Kharlukhi said former Ranikor MLA MM Danggo will be officially joining the party soon.
