State leaders visited Russia for FIFA WC

SHILLONG: A large number of VIPs, including Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, had visited Russia to watch the FIFA World Cup matches.
Sources said besides the chief minister, the VIPs included North Tura legislator Thomas Sangma, Cabinet ministers Hamlet Dohling and Banteidor Lyngdoh.
Opposition Leader Mukul Sangma, Congress legislators Ampareen Lyngdoh and Zenith Sangma and city-based businesswoman OB Tariang had also travelled separately to Russia to watch the matches.
