Inauguration
Shillong Rotary Club has sponsored a clean drinking water project at Mawkhar Christian Higher Secondary School and the project will be inaugurated by Mawkhar MLA Adelbert Nongrum at 2:15 pm on Monday.
Cultural event
Geetali will organise a cultural event as part of their silver jubilee on August 26. Artistes from Kolkata Tirtha Bhattacharjee, Sagnik Sen and Deepanita Choudhury, who was the contestant of Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma Pa will perform in the programme. Entry pass will be available at Geetali Office or Jyoti Medical Hall at Laban.
Silver jubilee
The Seng Longkmie Catholic (Catholic Women’s organisation), CMC Mawiong, concluded the silver jubilee celebrations on Sunday. The silver jubilee was inaugurated last year on July 23. The chief guest of the event was Archbishop Dominic Jala.
