NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday welcomed the granting of bail to Commonwealth Games scam accused Suresh Kalmadi, saying the court must have “good reasons” for pronouncing the order.

“Very good, I am glad that he got bail. The court must have good reasons for granting bail. It is good news,” Dikshit told reporters.

After spending nine months in jail, Kalmadi was on Friday granted bail by the Delhi High Court in a 2010 Games-related case. Soon after Kalmadi was granted bail, the opposition stepped up attack on Dikshit demanding action against her in the CWG-related cases. (PTI)
