Police appeal for compliance of MCC

TURA: With the enforcement of Mode of Conduct within the jurisdiction of bye-election bound 51-South Tura Legislative Assembly Constituency scheduled to be held on held on August 23, the West Garo District Superintendent of Police, has appealed to the general public to comply and cooperate with the law enforcing agencies while conducting naka checking, area domination and other law & order duties.

Informing that this was necessary to ensure free, fair and peaceful election, the West Garo Hills Police Chief have requested the public to inform them in case of observance of any suspicious movement of potential miscreants or trouble mongers or sightings of any abandoned baggages/belongings which might have been planted by miscreants with malafide intentions.

Further, all licensed arms & ammunitions holders of the 51-South Tura Assembly Constituency are directed to deposit the same at Tura Sadar Police Station and at 3 ( three) Police Beat Houses namely, New Tura Police Beat House, Chandmari Police Beat House and at Dobasipara Police Beat House before 15th August, 2018. Failure to comply with the directive will attract punishment under the provisions of the relevant law, the release added.
