SHILLONG: In a shocking incident, an eighteen-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by four boys and was sexually harassed in South West Garo Hills last week.
A complaint was lodged that on August 11 around 10.30 am, four boys in two motorcycles abducted the teenager from Ampati Bazar and took her to a brick kiln factory at Ghasura village and attempted to rape her.
However, local residents rescued the victim, while the culprits managed to escape.
Reportedly, registration number of one of the motorcycles is (AS-19D-0072).
A person namely Porkon A Sangma was arrested
When contacted, District SP Bobby S.W. Momin, said that the other accused persons are absconding and they will be arrested soon.
