Two die in accidents
On August 13 at around 3:35pm, one mini truck (ML-05R-5108) driven by Tobatskhem Warjri (21) knocked down Steven Thabah (3) at Nongmensong. The victim was transported to NEIGRIHMS where the attending MO declared him brought dead.
On August 5 around 5:30 am, one motorcycle (ML-05Q-2882) ridden by Sumit Gogoi (23) knocked down one pedestrian at Nongmynsong. The pedestrian and a pillion rider Antim Lama (34) sustained injuries and were taken to CH Shillong. The pillion rider was referred to NEIGRIHMS where he later succumbed to his injuries on August 8.
Woman assaults husband
On Tuesday around 11:00am, Meuru Dkhar of Chamcham village in West Jaintia Hills was admitted at Civil Hospital Ialong, Jowai after sustaining grievous injuries following a scuffle with his wife.
Dalkan R Sangma of Dama Nengkatok village in East Garo Hills lodged a complaint stating that on August 13 around midnight, one Tangkan D Sangma stabbed Tomy R Sangma with a knife. The victim sustained injuries and was taken to CH Williamnagar but was referred to CH Tura where he later succumbed to his injuries.
