LONDON: The Formula One team Red Bull has announced that French racing driver Pierre Gasly would join the team at the place of Daniel Ricciardo who has already confirmed his departure from the squad by the end of the ongoing season.
Reflecting on his inclusion into the team, Gasly said that it is like a dream come true and further stated that this is a wonderful opportunity to win future Grands Prix and World Championships.
“To be awarded a drive at Aston Martin Red Bull Racing from 2019 is a dream come true for me, I’m so excited to be joining this top Team. It has been my goal to race for this Team since I joined the Red Bull Junior Driver Programme in 2013, and this incredible opportunity is another step forward in my ambition to win Grands Prix and compete for World Championships,” Red Bull Racing official website quoted Gasly, as saying.
The Red Bull team principal Christian Horner welcomed the driver into the squad and said that he has given some stellar performances in the past and hoped that his talent would be beneficial for the team in the upcoming season.
“Since Pierre first stepped into a Formula One seat with Scuderia Toro Rosso less than a year ago he has proved the undoubted talent that Red Bull has nurtured since his early career,” Horner said. (ANI)
