CRPF boss for civic programme training camp

SHILLONG: The CRPF’s civic action programme can bridge the gap between the uniform and the public, Special Director General (SDG) North East Zone (NEZ), Prabhat Singh on Friday.
Singh, who was on his maiden visit to NES CRPF, suggested that a training camp should be organised at each CRPF BN in Assam and Meghalaya for this purpose and eligible candidates should be trained in the recruitment process and outdoor event of race which will be an opportunity for the youths of Meghalaya to be inducted in the forces.
Singh also gave a suggestion to impart pre-recruitment training in the CRPF unit in Assam and Meghalaya to the local youths to help them prepare for the competitive examinations of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the recruitment of 54,953 constables.
He also inspected 67 Bn, CRPF in the city and interacted with all officers and gave suggestions to improve operational efficiency.
