Workshop on child safety and gender policy held in city

SHILLONG: A one day workshop on ‘Child Safeguard Policy’ and ‘Gender Policy’ was held at Mary Rice Institute of Inclusive Education on Friday.
The workshop was sponsored by the Lions Club of Shillong Centurion and conducted by the ‘Society for the Welfare of the Disabled’ (SWD) for the teaching and non- teaching staff of the Mary Rice Institute of Inclusive Education and the ‘School and Centre for the Hearing Handicapped Children’.
SWD president BNS Didan inaugurated the workshop.
Amvalika Senapati , Coordinator Disability Law Unit, N.E Centre for Rehabilitation attended the workshop along with N Diddan, president of the Lions Club of The Shillong Centurion.
Certificates were also distributed to all the participants.
