RESUBELPARA: Customers at the Resubelpara branch of State Bank of India are miffed at the manager for his rude behaviour and reluctance to help.
When some customers met the branch manager on August 24 asking for new forms for opening accounts, they were told that forms would be available at the bank’s headquarters in Shillong. The customers went to another nearby SBI branch and were told that soft copy of the new form had been sent to all SBI branches. So they went back to the Resubelpara branch and requested the manager to give printouts of the form.
The manager told them that the network was slow and asked them to come back on Monday. But when the already hassled customers came on Monday, the manager behaved rudely with them. The local civil society has decided to complain to the deputy general manager, the Zonal Officer of the Meghalaya sector of SBI and the deputy commissioner of North Garo Hills.
