SHILLONG: The youths from various districts of Garo Hills region have come together to form a panel christened ‘Forum Against Corruption and Exploitation’ (F.A.C.E).
The purpose is to save the people from corruption and exploitation.
“It is a known fact that the Garos are mostly poor and they fall victims to people who lure them by promising easy money and ultimately they are forced to face complicated and unpleasant situations”, the FACE said.
According to the forum, there is no respite to the exploitation of the poor in Garo Hills
“In order to make people aware and check incidents of corruption and exploitation in future, the youths have come together to form the forum with the sole aim to help the youngsters”, the forum said, adding that the youths from different districts have voluntarily formed the organisation.
The office bearers of forum are president (Ryan Ashlee S. Marak), vice president (Helli G. Momin), secretary (Chean Remio S. Marak) and others.
