Newborn dies due to negligence

SHILLONG: In a bizarre incident, a newborn baby died due to negligence by a nurse in Ganesh Das Hospital on Thursday morning.
The incident happened when a healthy baby was snuffed out by a nurse, who made the pregnant woman, to sit in a wheel chair while the head of the new born was already out. The baby who could have been born naturally, died in the hospital. Sources informed that the mother is still in a state of shock and shifted to another hospital. The hospital authorities were not available for comments.
