PCB appoints Mani as official chairman

ISLAMABAD: Ehsan Mani has been elected the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a period of three years, it was confirmed on Tuesday.
The PCB, on Twitter, said its Board of Governors had elected Mani, the former International Cricket Council boss, unopposed.
Mani will succeed Najam Sethi as PCB chief. Sethi stepped down from the role on August 21, wishing “PCB all the best and hope our cricket team goes from strength to strength”.
Ehsan Mani was thereafter tipped to win the election for PCB chairman because of his past administrative experience a chartered accountant by profession, Mani was elected president of the ICC in 2003 after having represented the PCB at the ICC from 1989 to 1996, an ICC report on Tuesday said.
